Statement of Principles,
Environmental Policy

TDE, AIE works following guidelines oriented to quality, people’s safety, improvement of energy performance and environmental protection, and is also adhered to the Commitment to Progress of chemical companies known as Responsible Care, for this reason.

  • PEOPLE

    People and their safety are our first priority; for this reason, we have an occupational health and safety management system that allows employees, service companies and collaborators to carry out their activities safely, preventing work-related injuries or accidents.

  • GLOBAL FOCUS

    This policy governs all our activities with the purpose of promoting best practices in the prevention of personal and industrial accidents, and in the prevention of pollution, and in the production of first-class products with a look beyond what happens in our activity.

  • ENVIRONMENT

    We strive to preserve our natural environment at a local and global level by optimizing the use of natural resources and controlling and reducing emissions into the environment, focusing on the energy-efficient use of our facilities. We work to prevent the negative impacts that we can generate and maximizing those that can be beneficial for the environment and for society. We involve those key people or organizations that work for our company in order to obtain better environmental results. We dialogue and collaborate with neighboring companies, administrations, associations and other interested parties.

  • QUALITY

    We implement continuous improvement, innovating processes and activities that allow us to obtain the best level of quality, generating added value and adapting to the business and sector context. We are based on the knowledge and management of processes, to guarantee the standardization and quality of products, the implementation of improvements and new practices.

Corporate Social Responsibility is part of TDE’s strategic objectives and of the company’s management criteria. We manage as a priority the impact of our activity on our employees, contractors and external collaborators, as well as on the stakeholders as a whole in the social, economic and environmental fields.

CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

TDE wants the behavior of its company and that of its management body and staff to be a benchmark of integrity, good governance and corporate ethics, both for its sector and for its stakeholders as a whole.

Environment

Our operations are developed with the objective of minimizing the footprint of our actions on the environment, optimizing energy and water consumption, and reducing CO2 emissions and other compounds during the production, storage and transportation processes.

The company’s activities are committed to the reduction of emissions, waste, spills, and cleaning programs to avoid the dispersion of pellets (plastic pellets) in the environment.

The procurement of goods and services and the production cycle in each of its phases are managed with sustainability criteria and aim to minimize the environmental footprint.

Corporate Social Responsibility is part of TDE’s strategic objectives and of the company’s management criteria. We manage as a priority the impact of our activity on our employees, contractors and external collaborators, as well as on the stakeholders as a whole in the social, economic and environmental fields.

In this sense, TDE prioritizes safety in operations, ensuring that the different production processes are subject to the most demanding international controls and protocols. TDE’s objective as a safe company for its employees and contractors is to achieve zero accidents.

The safety surveillance program completes the safety section for TDE’s employees. A particularly important aspect of our Social Responsibility policy is our relationship with the Community. TDE maintains a regular and fluid dialogue with the local community, mainly through the neighborhood associations of Camp Clar and Bonavista (western neighborhoods of Tarragona) and the municipality of La Canonja.

  • AEQT (Asociación Empresas Químicas de Tarragona).
  • FEIQUE (Federación Empresarial de la Industria Química Española).
  • COASHIQ (Comisión Autónoma de Empresas Químicas y Asociadas).

  • Parcs Químics de Seguretat.

Consequently, TDE’s actions and behavior meet the highest standards of integrity, transparency and respect for human rights and the rules and laws in force and comply with a strict code of ethics.

Ethics and Conduct Guidelines

The Standard of Ethics and Conduct, which is mandatory for all employees, establishes the general guidelines that govern the conduct of TDE and the members of its organization in the performance of their duties and professional relationships. The standard refers to and is inspired by the following values:

  • Integrity. In TDE, we care for the welfare of people and act in accordance with the commitments we have made.
  • Respect for people. The individual is the source of the greatest value that TDE has to continue to develop.
  • Commitment to Safety and the Environment. TDE works to ensure that all actions are carried out within the framework of safe conduct and behavior, as well as the strictest care for the environment and our planet.

The Ethics Committee promotes knowledge of the Ethics and Conduct Standard, advises on its interpretation and application, and monitors its compliance.
